A top-flight team!

Teamwork is an integral part of the estate’s identity. Like on a boat, each member of the crew knows what he or she must do, and each role is important. Our crew’s geometry varies according to the season. Around a versatile quartet, apprentices, trainees, and seasonal workers gravitate.

Since the estate was founded in 2008, we've worked with so many different people!

YANN

Since April 2021, Yann has been reinforcing Terre de l’Elu’s technical/production department. His career path began with the call of wine, a diploma in the wine and spirits trade, and two years in sales and advice (sommelier, wine merchant…).

Then came the call of the vine, and with a BPREA in his pocket, Yann worked for 4 years on a 40-hectare estate in the Languedoc region, where he managed both vineyard work and vinification. Then came the call of the Loire, and 10 years as vineyard manager at an estate in Rochefort sur Loire.

Yann wanted to find more versatility in his job, a dimension we particularly cultivate at Terre de l’Elu. His professionalism, experience, wine culture and calm, controlled manner are all highly appreciated assets! Originally from Alsace, he cultivates on his own account a small plot of Riesling on a lovely terroir of cinerite.

JEAN-BAPTISTE

Jean-Baptiste

After a general baccalaureate, Jean-Baptiste tried his hand at a number of different options. In 2020, he chose to train in the vine and wine professions. After two years at the prestigious Domaine de la Coulée de Serrant, he joined our team.

Curious and self-taught by nature, he puts his in-depth knowledge of the plant world to good use on the estate. In particular, he oversees various nursery experiments.

The apprentices ans Interns

TANGUY

Tanguy: worker-apprentice in the bac pro vineyard and wine course

Arnaud: apprentice technician in NVQ viticulture-oenology

Because we like to pass on our knowledge, we are happy to welcome interns to the estate on a regular basis. Whether it’s a discovery internship, a short course lasting a few weeks or a longer course, often as part of a training program for adults undergoing retraining, our primary objective is to share the joy of our work.

NOT TO FORGET… seasonal workers!

Working in the vineyards is labour-intensive, especially when you choose to farm organically. To care for the 20-hectare estate, Terre de l’Élu employs many seasonal workers for pruning (from December to March), disbudding (in May), trellising (in June) and, of course, harvesting (in September and October).
